The Juggling Act...How do you do it?

I'm the mother of one 13 month old boy. I work full-time at a law firm. DH is attending college and working part-time. I also have a home business. I'm finding it all pretty hard to juggle. By the time I get home from work, take care of family stuff, get ready for the next day, work on my business a bit, I find I'm going to bed way to late. It's hard to find any time for just me on top of this all.

Do any of you have some time-saving tips? My MIL says cook on the weekend for the whole week. I don't really want to do that because then I'm using up what little time I have on the weekends doing more WORK!

The best advice I ever received (and much later learned to take) was, "You can't do it all. Learn to say no and set limits."

I know it sounds simplistic, but it's true.

Just a thought.....

Like said before set your limits! I ought to know because if I ont then I dont get time for myself let alone for my family and the many things I do for or with them! For the last two years, I have do Scouting for three kids as a leader not including what I have to do for school for the kids and my sweetie. I also have many pets that require care and love. I am a stay at home mom but somedays I just got to sit and vegetate! ha ha ha This past year was my hardest since my mom passed on. Thanks to chatting online in the chat rooms with some wonderful roomies, I survived! Now all you need to do is set your limits and make time for your family and yourself. Things will get better. Also with your children getting older, they will be able to help you as you go. So keep your smile in place and your head up high! If I can do it I know you can too! Have a great day!

Thanks for all your replies. Some days are easier than others, not so much because there is less on those days, but because I'm coping better emotionally.

I only have one, and so many of you have more and cope very well. My sister has only her and only one, and I have dh and my ds, so again, it's all about keeping perspective.

Once we have #2, and the both of them grow up a little, I'm sure it will get easier. :)

Appreciate it!
