Sweet 'n Sour Pork

1 1/2 lbs. pork (steaks, ribs, chunk, up to you)
2 T fat
1/2 C water
Brown pork slightly in hot fat. Add water, cover, and cook slowly for 1 hour (in oven or on stovetop).

Sauce
1/2 C brown sugar
4 T cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1/2-2/3 C vinegar
2 C pineapple juice
2 T soy sauce

Combine and cook until slightly thickened; stir constantly. Pour over cooked pork; let stand 10 min.
Then add:
1 large onion, cut into strips
1 large green pepper, cut into strips
1 can pineapple chunks (drained)
carrot strips

Cook only 2-3 minutes longer. Vegetables should remain crisp. Serve over hot rice.
