Are you keeping a food diary? If not, I would. That way when your sugar shoots up you can tell which foods to avoid. All diabetics react differently to foods. She absolutely right about the carbs. Carbs turn into sugar which causes your high readings. Pregnancy causes everything to go out of whack including the way some womens naturally produced insulin works.

If you haven't checked it out yet, the American Diabetes Association has a great website complete with recipes.

Most doctors suggest eating 6 small meals a day to help regulate your sugar.
