Household hint: Get a good job and hire a maid.

If you can't do that, go to the library and get a couple of good books on tape, authors you like to read, and listen to the book while doing housework. Makes it much less torturous.

Lightbulb Carpet Stains

Shaving cream. Spray it on the stain, let it sit a minute, rub it in with a sponge, then wipe it with a clean sponge.

This works!

Is there a certain type of shaving cream that we should use? tupi the books on tape sounds like a wonderful idea! I will definately have to give that one a try!

Hint: If you have alot of moisture build up around the toilet area (like my toilet is in a cubical of sorts) putting a coffee can half full of cat litter behind the toilet helps absorb alot of the moisture and some of the odor too. I change mine about every other week.

Probably should test it first

Find an inconspicuous place, and spray a bit on, just to make sure it doesn't fade your carpet, especially if it's dark.

Sounds like a great idea, though. Thanks!!!

lol anti! What closer thingy??!
When I buy turkey here, the turkey legs are tucked into a hole under a flap of skin. Are the ones you buy tied together with wire? Is that what you mean? Or do you mean that after you stuff it and use those skewers to close it, it's hard to remove them after cooking? How about pliers?
/me wanders out muttering stuff and such about what the heck is anti talking about turkey legs closer thingy!
/me whistles for a linebacker

I am pretty sure that antiana is talking about the the wire that keeps the legs together....See if you have a pair of pliers, they work great! I use bamboo skewers to reattach. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

How many of you see them girl scouts selling cookies at your grocery store or a co-worker brings them to work to sell?? You know you can't refuse the cookies so you buy a bushel of them! Now you have all these cookies to eat and before you know it you are tired of eating them but yet there are still some cookies sitting around un eaten. So what do ya do with them?? I say put them in the pancakes mix! I put my dry indgredients, wet ingrediants and about 8-10 girl scout cookies all in the blender ( yes blender) , use the "stir speed" for about 1 min or less till the cookies are crumbled and the wet and dry ingrediants are mixed ( note you might have to mix it a little with a spoon. ) Heat your oil in the frying pan and pour the mix right out of the blender into the frying pan to make what ever size pancake you want! Add syrup and butter. Just think you can give your kids a "haelthy breakfast" with cookies and NOT feel guilty now. I used Thin mint cookies this am in my pancakes.
