A new nephew

We have a new nephew! He was born at 32 weeks, so of course has some problems inherent in being born so early. But, just wanted to mention him here so people could keep him in their thoughts!

His name is Michael, and he was born yesterday morning. :-)

Congratulations Liam! I bet your son is so excited that there's a little baby in the family, err, if boys are interested by those things at that age. LOL Nate loves babies..as long as they don't steal his cheerios.

Hope everything is going good for the little guy. Keep us posted!

Smile

I figure that early babies are just eager to join the family. And one of my girls' friends from their childhood was a Michael who was called Mickey. Welcome (((((Michael)))))!

Well, my S-I-L was in the hospital since Tuesday, where they administered drugs to try to stop her labor, the baby being 8 weeks early. She told me yesterday that they gave her some hormone that was supposed to speed up lung development. When he was born on Friday, he didn't need to be on a ventilator and was in an oxygen tent for a few hours, and his absorption rate was 99-100%.

Mom went home today. Michael will be in the hospital for at least another week.

How funny...looking for these goblins, I came across this discussion!

Mickey is GREAT. He's 3 now! A healthy, normal little boy, bright, with a great sense of humor already.
