We did have a name for it but I can't remember it right now. The following site calls it a "cootie catcher." However, you can find them and how to make them as an "Origami Fortune Teller."

Hopefully you'll come back to the WOW boards for the info and weren't just here to plug that bra. All the advertising of late has made me extremely skeptical. :-)

Hey, thanks for the url.. I appreciate it. I found another name for it in my searches today.. SnapDragons. Although, this does not sound familiar at all.

Yeah, I guess we all thought we'd invented them. They were too cool, eh?

Hey everyone great seeing you all

Loved playing Jacks and double dutch, ring toss, those circle games, and bouncing ball game with the alphabet..
A My name is Addie my husbands name is Al we live in Alabama selling Apples.

B My name is Bambi my husband name is Bamboo <G> we live in Baltimore and we sell Boots

etc you went though the whole alphabet until you stopped bouncing the ball.

Splitting my sides here thinking of the games.

Dodge ball was so much fun. Now they can't even play it at recess.

One of my favorite games was charades.

Now did any of this have to do with the original question??? ( runs from the thread giggling)
