Thots for the New Year

HAPPY NEW YEARS to everyone. If there is a more suitable board for me to post on besides transitions, let me know ...
I have spent some time browsing and the boards are all very interesting as well as friendly. What are every ones hopes and dreams, resolutions and thoughts for themselves for the new year? It is taking me some time with all the changes in my life to get "centered" - I am happier than I have been in a very long time!!! This big move to the woods has so many wonderful aspects and I am sure I will discover more. I would have to say my hopes for 2009 are getting my old house sold (what a weight it will be off my shoulders) as well as continuing to lay the foundation for a new life, a very SIMPLE life, (LOL) I did not realize how much unnecessary fussing I do ... so day by day, will be attempting to make transitions toward simplicity, functionality,
and just plain, enjoying life!!! LACIE

Lacie, What great resolutions. Sounds devine to me. Simple is so much better than complicated & adding more chaos. Hope it all works all well for you. Taking the first step towards it & you're doing great.

I cannot find the exact post, but I believe I confused someone with my post about
switching from an electric stove to a gas one (I just saw a post entitled something about your mind or life being stuck on stupid) duh, that was ME with posting that and no wonder I confused people!!! Making the switch from electric to gas cooking was just one more transition I exp'd moving from suburbs to country/woods, plus I had gas twice in my life, both many yrs ago, both times I had gas leaks, so it is a real transition for me, I am kinda afraid of gas, but how would anyone reading my post know THIS? Just one more little change for me!!! LACIE ps and may I add, cooking fine!!!

YEAH!!! CONGRATS RJ!!!! i'm still struggling with trying to make the decision on to go back or not...sigh. I just think I'm afraid.

Going Simple...i've been decluttering for a year...still at it.. it's a long process! LOL!!! Going simple means more to me than just cutting out extras, etc. Simple - spending family night playing games, watching a movie together on tv, even baking brownies together. Just really trying to leave the chaos of the world outside the front door these days.

Kudos (((((((( rjsfeminist))))))))) WTG Now that you graduated, do you have plans to put the degree to good use? Just curious. Wishing you the very best of what's yet to come.

Thanks, everyone.

Hey, PBS, I was afraid to try going back, too. But once you make the decision and start the whole process of going back, it gets a lot easier and a lot less scary! Go for it!
