My daughters & I all read the series. We went to see the movie. Loved the books. Liked the movie.
Reading the books is almost a prerequisite to following the movie. They weren't able to put it all in the movie. If you didn't read the books some of the story line got lost.

Stephanie Meyers.. I believe is the spelling of the author's name. It's a unique love story. Definately not what one would expect from a "Vampire" story. Not my typical type of reading. Glad my daughter talked me into reading it.

If you take the time to read it, hope you thoughly enjoy it. When I finished reading "Twilight", the anticipation of waiting for the next book to come out was very high. Now all three are out.. If you do read them.. it's better to do so in order. Have fun. Get lost in the story. That's what I enjoy the most about reading is getting lost in the story line.

I agree Irish, my kids have read all of them (both my son and my daughter) and both brought different views to the story, but they both LOVED the series!!

ROTFL!! I am NOT a vampire person..can't get into that "frame of mind" and even though i've been told it's more about the story line than that, I can't bring myself to pick up one of them to read..sooo..tell me your take RJ!

Its an odd book(s)

It is really an odd book(s) - TWILIGHT - "good vampires" if you can believe it ... and very odd - the following on this series is too funny ... a guy friend maybe 50 yrs old gave me the series, his daughter bot for him ... I was talking to an on line friend down in Maryland, and she was loaned the set by a middle aged male friend also ... really has a diverse following ... you think VAMPIRES and you think Stephen King or John Saul or
Peter Straub, not a young lady who happens to be a Mormon!
Definitely a different twist on vampires ... and trust me, it is a good story, not at all blood and guts and spooky cemeteries or anything you would think, I am only half way thru third book, it is actually kind of a love story. LACIE

Definately a love story A very good one. Let's not give the whole story line away. Let them read the series, and see the movie.

I liked the books. They are very good. What was cool was the story is great and its not smutty so its a good read for any age. The movies are ok. Your right in that a lot is left out of the movies. If you read the books you understand it more.

I love the Twilight series. The first movie is my favorite of all of them so far. The first book probably too. I think it's kinda cool that one series can have such a huge impact on baby name trends. Isabella has shot off the charts as far as baby name popularity goes. By the way, so has Jacob.
