Question lesbian women

Why is it difficult for a woman who is gay to get into
the social network with other gay women. I am able
to have friendships with gay men but the women always
seem to look at me as a threat. Yes, I have come out
of a long relationship, but I am trying to establish friendships.
I am not a threat. I want to make friends, even if it is
by phone for the time being. I am not trying to unload
my issues on a new friend. That is not their problem, but
mine and I am dealing with it. Just like this is called a thread,
that is what I am trying to do. Put out threads of friendship.

People advise to go out and socialize but where are the
social groups for gay women? especially women who are over
50?

If you have advice or can help or wants to talk, let me hear from
you.

I noticed that quite a few people have read this post but no one has replied.

Why not? Someone must have some information, views, or opinions?
Please share.

Well some may not know the answers you seek. Whereas some dont have nothing to help you. Yet you can start your own threads per se. It shouldnt matter where you are. Or who you are with/without. Just be yourself. For once others get to know you then it will make a difference. I dont have any idea of how you can connect with other women. Yet if they feel threatened that is something within them perhaps. So dont take offense. Maybe they are jealous of the fact you have the men who are your friends. It really doesnt matter for if it makes you happy and you are harming none, dont worry over the small stuff. In due time, the other women will see you for who you are!

Now as for finding social groups to meet other women, I dont have a clue. Yet wish you the best! Hugs
I hope this helps as it was meant too.

hi vtravka, in my experience there is no real social network for lesbian women and i dont think there is a need for one. i have lots of friends most of them are straight. i dont seem to present a threat to men and all my female friends just seem to take me as i am. now if its partner youre looking for thats dfficult. ive tried subscription dating sites with not much success because if its sex and only sex youre looking for thats fine but if you want more its no good. but im looking to talk to people so thats a start.
