Greetings! I am excited to be joining WOW. My hope is to be able to connect with other women but not necessarily just stay-at-home moms. I am currently a stay-at-home but my children are grown and out of the house. We recently moved from Colorado to Texas and I find myself in a place that I don't know anyone, I don't have a job and my fiance is at work for about 13 hours a day. My hope is that by joining to a reputable online community, I will be able to connect with others that I may have things in common with.

Welcome to all of you!

WOW has been a part of my life for over ten years. Some of the wonderful people on here are my other family. We help each other thru the trying times of Life. Share our lives joys, sorrows, and burdens. Yet we know when we need whatever there are those out there who can be counted on. Look over the forum as well as the chats.
Have a great day!

Unhappy Lost

I am trying this as something new. My husband knows nothing about this and I am trying to hide it from him. I have been being abused for the last 6 years. Its gotten to the point now that I need people to talk to. I am afraid of what could happen anymore. It seems like no matter what me or my son do its just not good enough for him. I also am the only one working and I can be at work and get a phone call with him yelling at me saying what I am doing isn't good enough that I need to get a part time job too. I come home and I just get yelled at from the time I get in the door until I go to bed and then when I wake up until I go back to work. I can't spend anytime with my son, I am missing him growing up, I am working non-stop. I have had stitches in the front of my head, a broken nose, a black eye which is still healing-there is a lump under the skin yet but no discoloration is left. And I am only turning 24. I need help and I am scared to death to do anything. I want to run with my son but I don't know where I would go, my son has epilepsy also. I have no vehicle to go anywhere, I am not even allowed to have a key to my own house. He has broken a cherished piggy bank of my sons from the day he was born by throwing it against a wall, whenever he is pissed off he throws things or goes after someone. Its ridiculous. I can't take it anymore, me and my son have to get out and have no way to do it.

Hon, while you are at work grab the phone book and look up the number to the local ywca. They will put you in touch or have some one there to help you get out. You have already done the bravest thing by looking for help. No one need to be treated the way you are. Step 2 is tell them you need a save place as you are being abused you have no car and no money. they will help you get to a safe house. Then, call your local police. Tell them what is going on and as them if someone can met you at home and help you to remove your and your son's thing. It won't be much just what you can carry. then, once you are in a save place do what they tell you. Don't give out the phone number where you are don't contact you abuser.and it will be hard but after you learn to be on your own and not have some one there always finding fault with life will be so much better.
With hugs prays and warm wishes, best of luck and let us know how you make out. As I said this is a great place to kind friends and people who care and have been in your shoes. Trust me, I'm one.

lostandconfused, If you have a friend at work have them log everytime you come into work with a new bruise.
Your baby is in danger with this man. As crazymomma said call your local Y,, Or call a hotline about the abuse.
There are people willing to help you. YOU DO NOT need to stay in an abusive relationship.
Do you have siblings, or a close friend that can help in some way?
You have got to find a way out of there.
Someone will be willing to find a SAFE HOUSE for YOU & YOUR SON.
What state are you in?
Six years in an abusive relationship is Six years to long. Time to break the cycle. Before something extremely serious happens to either one of you.
Make that call for help ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck you CAN & Need to do this.

Hello all, My name's Heather and I'm 31 years old.
I was diagnosed with CC in January this year and had to have a radical hysterectomy in March. I got married in June to my gorgeous husband and have two lovely step children to add to my own two. It's been a real rollercoaster of a year as you can imagine, with me being really happy one moment and then down the next.
I saw this forum and liked the look of it, I sometimes have a few down days where I need to talk with other people and just maybe need a bit of advice. Looking forward to hopefully getting to know you and chat to you all x

I joined WOW a very long time ago 1995-96 and have been a very long time. I am mostly curious as to how the community has developed. I see there has been many changes over the last 14 years ... and there has been many changes in my own life as well.
