Thanksgiving Turkey!!

We all know the turkey is the longest item to cook and the one thing you want to be perfect. I cooked my turkey overnight one year so I could have it done early. Has anyone heard of or tried the 2 Hour Turkey recipe? http://www.vons.com/ifl/grocery/Thanksgiving#iframetop

Haven't tried that one RockinGal. Heaven help us. How in the world did the the older generation survive. Slow cooked turkey all night & yes with the stuffing in it. Boy, it was the best.

Now it's cook the turkey, do the stuffing separate. Folks you lose some of the flavor!!!! Everything is overkill these days. Next we'll all be wearing hazmat suits to cook dinners with. Just an observation on my part. ( stir up trouble )

I LOVE stuffing. Thanksgiving can be one of those holidays where you feel rushed. This is for making the turkey faster than usual. Did you two see the leftover lounge? I usually go blank when it comes to what to cook with all the leftover turkey. There is a recipe for Turkey Enchiladas and the Turkey BLT looks really good.

This makes up for the nasty food I posted in the Weirdest Thing You've Eaten thread

Well, now that we've all finished off the Thanksgiving leftovers, here comes Christmas (and any other winter holidays everyone celebrates).

I love Christmas!! When my gran was alive and I was a kid, we used to make taffy on christmas eve. I loved pulling it and then snipping it into pieces and eating it afterwards!! Peppermint has a special place in my heart forever now. sigh.

That's what I love most about Christmas, family, friends, memories -both old and making new ones, and just the attitude of most everyone around us changing.
