(((((((((((Lou)))))))))))

There's a lady who's sure, all that glitters is gold...

When I was a teen I wrote a (long, dreadful) poem in that style! (You're safe tho' I lost it along the way).

Anyway I'm listening to Rumours, Fleetwood Mac.

You can go your own way . . .

There's a poem I used to know all of but now can only remember these lines:
Write me a letter
As if across water,
Something like this
Only better.

That strikes me as so nostalgic.

LOL Addie! I've been on a fruitless two day mission to find the 50th Anniversary edition of Jim Croces Greatest Hits, A 2 CD pack. I figured we must have it since Canada has!

You can get it at HMV stores or online. There is a Canadian online site at http://www.hmv.com and I don't know if there is an American counterpart. It is not a new release...Sept 1993 I think is what the site notes said. It is a great collection...all his best.
I'm also listening to:
- Diana Ross The Ultimate Collection
- Cat Stevens Tea for the Tillerman (one of my all time favs)
- Roberta Flack softly with these songs the best of
- Harry Chapin Greatest Stories Ever Told
- Carpenters The Singles
- Eric Clapton The Cream of
- Indigo Girls 4.5 (this is new for me...like them)
- Heart and Soul New Songs from Ally McBeal featuring Vonda Shepard (new for me too...what a voice)

I could go on and on but have to get in that shower and ready for work.lol. Yikes...look at the time!!!
I will listen to newer stuff, but my heart remains with the older stuff and sadly, Croce and Chapin Karen Carpenter are gone and Stevens has gone off to some religous thingy. Dang!!!

Yep, can't listen to Cat Stevens since he advocated the death of Salman Rushdie.

Well crud....if it's the one I think it is, I have the vinyl. My brother gave it to me years ago. I would still like it in CD though, along with Seals and Crofts...I had yet to find any of theirs on CD.

We just bought a new version of Toast (a CD-burning software package for Mac) that allows you to burn CDs from vinyl. :-D

I have hundreds of LPs I'd like to transfer over...

The latest CD I bought of Loggins and Messina has the history of each song in the booklet. I was surprised to read about the origins of several of them. Maybe I'll post a few later.

Oh thanks Liam! I'll have to check that out!

anniejoan, I still have all my vinyls, I just can't seem to part with them... If I had a mac..I'd have to invest in that package Liam mentioned, lol.
