Tell us who you like, why you like 'em, what you liked 'em in!

I have lots of favorites, and I tend to follow an actor or actress through everything they've done until I grow tired of them.

I like new actors, old actors, living and dead. Can't say who is my "favorite," though I might have said James Dean at one time.

Montgomery Clift is another whose work I just love. I've seen every movie he made except his last, The Defector, which last I checked wasn't available on video and I've never seen on t.v. I have every other movie he made.

I really liked Brad Davis, too.

Before anyone asks, it's not a requirement for someone to die a tragic, early death in order for me to admire them.

ROFL ((((Liam)))) yeah it was getting to sound that way, hon

My favourite actress is probably Sissy Spacek. Though there are many others I admire.

Actor is harder ... they'll all be Brits too

John Hurt, and Tom Courtney are two I'm very fond of.

Tom Courtenay is cool! I remember him in "I Heard the Owl Call My Name," as well as "Billy Liar" and "Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner"

This is hard, and I can't pick one, but here are a few I enjoy watching...

John Travolta because he is cool.

Dustin Hoffman because he is an actor.

Diane Keaton because she is like no other.

Susan Sarandon is cool. She's a friend of Rick's next-door neighbor! They cook out a lot. ;-)

James Spader, in "Sex, Lies, and Videotape," "Less than Zero," "Crash," "Keys to Tulsa," "White Palace," "The Watcher," and other movies that escape me right now. I like his attitude, his coolness, and those eyes!<p>
Keith Hamilton Cobb in the tv show "Andromeda." I understand he was in a daytime soap before that, but I never saw it. I love his body, his eyes, and the philosophical yet fierce character he plays in Andromeda.<p>
Ed Norton and Brad Pitt both, especially together in "Fight Club."<p>
Aging actors I really like: Sean Connery, Sylvester Stallone, and Mel Gibson.<p>
Actreses: Julianne Moore, Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, and that young woman who plays the lead in "Dark Angel."

Ok, I remembered her name: Jessica Alba plays Max in "Dark Angel." And I forgot to list Lucy Lawless in "Xena."<p>
I liked Kevin Sorbo in "Hercules," and even in "Kull the Conquerer," but he has a really goofy hairdo that I can't handle (and NO muscles) in "Andromeda." <g>

I can't really deal with Sean C any more (he made some naff remark in the media here about hitting women a few years back) ... and OMG Susan S ... how could I forget her?

Whoopie Goldberg too, if only she's do some more really classy films.

Actors, that's pretty easy. William Hurt and Nicholas Cage. (Sadly, Cage has been doing a lot of really violent movies lately that I can't stand to watch...) They both have this, I don't know, minimalist style. So much expression with so little apparent motion. David Duchovny used to have some of that, too.

Actresses, harder. Kate Winslet(just watched "Quills" last night, *that* was disturbing!), Jessica Alba is pretty cool but it's hard to tell how good she'd be in anything else, Sandra Bullock has the habit of playing really off-the-wall characters I wish I could be.
