I have a dear friend at work named Jolene, so I don't know if I could do that one...

But I loved yours, cod!

Any similarities to persons living or dead are purely coincidental.

Yes and you looked GREAT, Nana!!

I have to tell you how I came to write that, btw. I read Lou's and it was fantastic! Then I saw her "dare" about the Jolene topic and I swear I looked next to me and (in the living room) was the kitchen timer. It had been left there after timing something I had in the oven.

SO....there was Lou's dare, and that timer RIGHT NEXT TO ME, and .....voila

I don't think I'm quitting my day job though.

Ok, I'll take one<g>

As I walked into the darkened room, I sensed that something was different.
I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but it was there, waiting for me. I couldn't shake the feeling that whatever it was, it would cause me pain. I didn't want any more pain. The fight last night was just too much for me to handle in my delicate condition. Arguing over the simplest of things like a burnt dinner always made me feel incompetant. So why was I up at 3 in the morning getting a glass of water? I was already ready feeling like the Titanic, 8 months pregnant and bloated from fluid retention. Yet, here I am, in the kitchen, glass in hand, drinking water to quench my thirst and feeling a sense of doom. Far be it for me to wonder why I always get these feeling after an argument. Maybe it was my active imagination going into overtime, like the time I wondered why we were going hunting when I had never held a shotgun before. Doom, that's what I felt. A never ending wondering of what's going to happen next. I drain my glass, put it in the sink and turn to walk out of the darkened kitchen when I walk right into it. My right foot goes right into the side of a watermelon left on the kitchen floor as a peace offering. There were a few choice words to accompany the throbing in my toes.

Great DLC anticipating something more than a stubbed toe. You made me laugh. Although I know that would have hurt like a son-of-a- gun.

She sat in the car. Tarffic was busy just like yesterday and the day before. She always hadto leave her house 15 mintunes earliy. The only good thing was the radio. The heat and a/c had gon on the car a year ago. It still ran , but she froze in the winter and fryed in the summer. She was listion to her favrote staion, KBLM109. They just anounced a contest , guess the song and win $200.You needed to be the fourth caller to win. Good thing I brought my cellphone she thought. She sighed she never won anything. Why should a stupid radio contest be any differnt. They started the tune. Oh my, she knew this one. It was on the tip of her tounge. It was the same tune she had danced to at her prom. Dear god what wasthe name of the song. Her hand dailed the number without her relizing it. " Hello, your our fourth caller. Can you name the song for us." said the deejay. " um yes , its I want to dance with somebody." she said. " Thats absolutly right!" saiad the deejay. "Please stay on the line so you can claim your prize."
