Ok I saw this folder and realize no one has posted in here for a while. I know we have had several new people join during this time and said to myself its time to see all the new writers in here.

Me, I love to write!!! I write stories about life and the way I see it. Which is really scary to some poeple. So who else likes to write?

Writing has been a passion of mine since I was about 9 years old. I haven't done much writing (poetry, nonfiction and fiction) for about 3 years because I have been way too ill. Pirate has filled over 25 notebooks in the past year. He sent me a couple short pieces and they are good. The only writing I've done lately has been in the form of complaint letters and letters to the editor! Hey, once an activist always an activist!

I'm a writer, too, though it took me a while to embrace the term. Currently, I'm trying to get my first novel sold, as well as a book of poetry. I've got several other projects I've got to finish cleaning up so I can start marekting them, too.

I don't know about you other writers out here, but I find that writing is the easy part; the hard part is getting it sold!

In my much (very much) younger days, I sold several pieces of writing, a tape to NPR, worked on a film crew to promote tourism in Orlando (paid work, too), and I held professional photographer status.

In the past ten years, most of my writing had to do with procedure manuals, grant writing and some draft law work. And I write the monthly newletter for the company I worked for.

I have a nonfiction work in the back of my mind. I have the diaries that both of my grandfathers carried during WWI. What I'd like to do is combine them with the history of the War and where they were. My favorite entry is "11.11 it is done." As WWII was starting up, my journalist grandfather wrote a long letter to his son and perfectly described PTSD.

I don't anticipate selling it, but I may go the vanity press route and give it to veterans groups. It may help some of those currently suffering from PTSD to see that it has always been around.

Reviving the thread again.

How's the writing going, brede? (And everyone else...) I'm still working on getting my novel published. I've had people ask, "Isn't writing difficult?" Nah...it's getting published when you're an unknown that's difficult!
