My daughter who just turned 13, got accepted into college placement classes for middle school next year. She is very smart. So when the school principal called to tell me she will be taking 2 college classes next year. I was over joyed. I was and still am beaming with pride.

Wow that is something to be proud of. My daughter is 14 and she will be in all advanced classes next year we just found out that 2 of these classes will give college credits! She too is very smart. This pass year one of the class she took , if she passes her regent exam will put her 2 grade levels ahead in that subject. I am so proud of her. She has had a great year and has even had a piece of her art work put on display in the school act show at the libarary.

Who could blame you for smiling! I think we all cheer harder for our kids than for ourselves.

More news with my daughter! The art piece she did for the city wide art show (it was this huge dragon) Was sold at the end of the school year! One of the other teachers saw it, fell in love with it and bought it! I am so happy for her. If she ever becomes famous can you imagian how much the value of it will be? I smile when I think of it.

yep, I told her now that someone has bought a piece of her art. She is now a real live artist! If she ever makes it big that person can say"see, I own a piece of her work" who knows one day it maybe worth a fortune!

WTG! How cool is that. Hope you have some early pieces too. Just to see the progression though the years.

oh yes, that's the advantage of being the mom. I have a real pretty cat she made. Much smaller than the dragon was.(it stood about 3 ft tall) Not to mention the cafe chalk she did. She also has a self portrate at the main office of a company that works with troubled kids on display. She even looking into colleges to study art. 2 are in Mass. and the other is in Ohio.
