Overtime pay is in jeopardy

I'm writing this to let you know about President Bush's attack
on overtime pay rules and protections.
A lot of people will lose overtime pay when this goes through in the next couple of months. We need to join together and speak out in order to stop this.
Please send a message to your senators with a copy to
President Bush. Express your opposition to cuts in overtime pay.
The AFL-CIO has setup a page so you can easily send a letter via
fax and you do not need to be a union member to participate.
Please click on the link below to take action.

You're welcome Liam! He just so makes me angry, I want him impeached, then dragged through a hot bed of coals and working at a job where he would have to work past his designated shift and not get paid overtime and see how he likes it.

As opposed to the current scenario where he's on vacation 6 months a year? LOL

from Sunflower: "Trouble with people in power is that they have no idea what its like to work for a living in the real world."

I couldn't agree with you more, Sunflower. I've always felt that it would be a good idea if anyone planning to run for office had to be in the "real world" of the working class for a year or two before running for office, as well as being a working-class person for a year or two afterwards (so that they could see how their laws enacted affected most of us).

It's a little late for this election, but how 'bout several of us getting together to run for prez & v.p. for 2008?

Good idea! Count me in! I also think we should eliminate the party system and that if a person who is running comes from a wealthy background, the should have to do blue collar, hard work for low wages with no help from Mommy and Daddy for 4 years.

Like any of that will ever happen. Hrrumph.
