BTW, right now, I have a sour cream cinnamon bundt cake in the oven for tomorrow's brunch. If it turns out well, I will make it again next week for a teaching workshop I am giving on Friday. It's simply a super moist yellow cake mix to which I addded a cube of margarine, 1/2 C. of oil, 1/2 pint of sour cream, 1/2 C. of sugar, and 4 eggs. Then I layered it into a bundt pan with a 2/1 mix of brown sugar and cinnamon in between. It also calls for nuts, but that seemed wrong this morning.

Heh. Did I see Addie's eyes slide my direction? I'll have you know that I am 16 pounds lighter than I was 9 weeks ago. The sour cream cinnamon bundt cake is for my dad. LOL ((((Addie))))

Lou, having eaten the first third, the last third AND the middle third, I can vouch that it was done through and through.

Liam, I'm happy to see that recipe did NOT call for whipping cream! =====8-O

I agree Addie...there can NOT be too many bananas in banana bread!

...but EWWW don't you HATE the way REALLY ripe bananas FEEL? Since the Difficulty is Easy, I may give it a shot though. Thanks Liam!

LOL!!! {{{Lou}}} I would never comment on your weight, only mine. I made the little note to myself instead of yet another yum. I can see where this folder is heading. I wonder if it's sponsored by 24 Hour Fitness.<g>

I have a wonderful recipe for sour cream coffee cake but it's sort of a pain in the neck to make. Well, not so much make as clean up. Your recipe for the bundt cake is oh-so-much easier. It's the sour cream, it gets me every time. I just can't resist. I think it's a Jewish thing. You know, sour cream with potato pancakes, sour cream with blintzes, sour cream on a piece of cardboard.<g>

Cod, I have a wonderful bit of 18 month old Hayley video. She's sitting in a high chair with an absolutely rapturous expression on her face, smushing and squeezing ripe banana in her hands and having it ooze out from between her fingers. I'm guessing you don't want a copy.

Oh! 16 pounds in 9 weeks? Kudos Lou! That is quite an accomplishment!!! wow!

Sour cream on cardboard. LOL! & awww to wee Hayley smooshing the banana.

In Mexico, I like to order a fruit plate at breakfast, thinking that what I want is the papaya and mango. But then, it's those Mexican bananas that sweep me off my fork. So big, so sweet.

I'm trying to remember if I've ever had a Margarita in Mexico. Can't remember one distinctly, but they were probably on the rocks. I do remember (vaguely ) plenty of tequila and sauza. I got to eat the worm once.

Well, if you want me to, CAB, I could somehow make a connection between Crowe and bananas...

On second thought...nah.

Yes to Accidental Tourist. I am fond of William Hurt, in sort of the same way I have a soft spot for Nick Nolte. Why oh why. Just a few weeks ago when Nolte was picked up for drunk driving in Malibu, drooling and everything, next day my friend Rebecca said, "Your boy does you proud." An aged drunk is not pretty. But yes to the flick!

See, that film is made from an Anne Tyler novel, and her characters are wonderful. BTW, it's a metaphor.
